Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run
June 16, 2007

This past weekend ( 6-16-07) was the fifth annual  Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run and festival
fundraiser event held at Marseilles, Illinois. This event is held each year to raise money for the families of our troops that have died in combat in the middle east. Read more here http://www.ilfreedomrun.org . This was the first year that country music was featured and Tresa Street and her band "Street Talk" were the only country act to perform. Tresa played over an hour to a great "standing in the street" crowd that applauded, danced and sang along with her throughout the evening. During the Memorial Ceremony held earlier in the day at the Middle East Conflict Wall Memorial park, Tresa was honored to sing a special song she wrote (available below) just for the memorial service. The marble wall contains the names of the fallen troops, and sadly each year there are new names to be added.  "I was honored and humbled to be a part of this years event and I look forward to coming back next year" (Tresa Street).  We would like to thank all the great volunteers for their warm and friendly hospitality and a special thanks to Jerry Cooch, Tony Cutrano, Rita, Renee, Big Daddy and Casper, for taking such good care of us. You guys made us feel like family.
